A Taste of New Orleans

On Sunday I woke up wanting coffee and something sweet. The coffee was easy enough, but finding something sweet to eat was a little harder. Then, I remembered we had a box of Cafe Du Monde beignet mix from our trip to New Orleans. It was easy to make but pretty stinkin’ messy.

It didn’t quite taste like the beignets at Cafe Du Monde (The Boy thinks otherwise) but they weren’t bad. But if you’re curious, give it a shot.

If there are only two of you eating, cut the recipe in half. Otherwise, you’ll end up throwing some of them away since they’re only good when they’re hot.
